Rebecca Fisher

Hi, I’m Rebecca. I’m a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor serving clients in Maryland and Washington, DC. I approach therapy with steadiness, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s story.

I work from a person-centered and strengths-based framework, which means I believe you already carry strengths within you — even if they feel hard to access right now. My role is to help you slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and build tools that support real, sustainable growth.

I also incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients identify and understand the different “parts” of themselves — especially the ones that may feel conflicting, protective, or hard to navigate. Together, we create space for those parts to be heard with curiosity rather than judgment, allowing for greater clarity, self-compassion, and healing.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, women’s mental health, and questions surrounding faith and identity. I am an affirming ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to create a space where you can show up fully as yourself.

I also understand personally that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. Having engaged in my own therapy, I know the courage it takes to sit on the other side of the room. That experience deepened my belief that healing happens when we feel safe, understood, and not judged.

Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy baking sourdough bread, spending time in nature, traveling, and being with my fiancé and cat.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to shift, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
